Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to apply for the position of Finance Manager or Team Leader as freelance or short time.
With more than 25 years of professional experience in financial management, administration, controlling, auditing, budgeting, and donor-funded project implementation, I have developed extensive expertise in managing complex financial portfolios and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor regulations. Throughout my career, I have worked with GIZ and other international organizations across Africa and Asia, assuming increasing levels of responsibility in finance and administration.
My professional experience includes positions with GIZ International Services and Partnership Operations in Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, and Pakistan, as well as assignments with Welthungerhilfe and Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe. These roles have enabled me to build strong competencies in financial planning, project controlling, budget monitoring, reporting, auditing, procurement, and team leadership.
From January 2023 to December 2025, I worked as Finance Controller for the EU Co-financing TVET Sector Support Programme in Pakistan. Since January 2026, I have been working as Finance Manager within the Financing Controlling Service Unit.
In my current role, I am responsible for:
- Managing cost allocations, S4HANA, SAC and GUI processes;
- Monitoring budgets and expenditures across service packages and outputs;
- Advising management and project teams on financial matters;
- Preparing budget forecasts, cash-flow projections, and financial analyses;
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports for BMZ and other donors;
- Ensuring compliance with GIZ financial regulations and donor requirements;
- Contributing to internal and external audits and implementing corrective measures where necessary.
Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in financial controlling, reporting, and project management, while maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy, transparency, and service orientation. My thorough knowledge of GIZ financial procedures, combined with my international experience and analytical skills, enables me to provide effective financial management support and contribute to organizational objectives.
